Proposals for Ancillary Materials Development
BCcampus is accepting proposals for the development of materials in support of Open Textbooks. These could be question banks, slide sets, media, teacher guides or student manuals etc. Proposal acceptance is ongoing but projects must be completed within 2016. For more information:
BCcampus OpenEd - Ancillary Materials Development

BCcampus has a collection of open textbooks that include those written for BCcampus, those modified from existing open textbooks, and those adopted from other collections as relevant to BC. While these texts are primarily aimed at undergraduate students, they may include material beneficial to graduate study as well.

There are three key ways to use an open textbook.

  • adopt an open textbook for your course
  • use parts of an open textbook (chapters, sections, pages) for your course
  • change parts of an open textbook and use these for your course

Your instructional designer can show you how you can use, modify and distribute an open textbook, or part of an open textbook, for your course. Below are a few interesting titles from the BCcampus collection. More title can be found at BCcampus OpenEd.
