RSS (Rich Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication) feeds provide a handy way to be notified of all new information posted on your favourite sites without having to visit each one individually. For example, you can get a free RSS feed from the CBC (http://www.cbc.ca/rss/) that is updated throughout the day with their top headlines.
