Web Conferencing

Webcasting Services

We provide technical assistance and support services for two web/video conferencing platforms: BlueJeans for synchronous virtual ‘face-to-face' meetings and Livestream for users to access and attend live streams over the internet.

BlueJeans

BlueJeans allows for the remote sharing and delivery of video, audio and multimedia content using streaming media technology for groups of people to view and attend meetings, seminars, and online events. Various options are available to help you interact and communicate easily, reducing the need for travel or movement from location to location. Each session can support up to 25 concurrent users and devices.

Moderator

As a Bluejeans Moderator you provide online support during the session and can manage participant invite or removal, microphone mute, and screen share. After initial training we issue you an account and you can book your own meetings.

Submit a Request Form

BlueJeans request form must be filled out and submitted for all BlueJeans meetings. It is essential that advanced scheduling and planning occur, particularly if groups of people are involved for your meeting. Please ensure your learning space is booked via EMS Campus, RRU’s online scheduling system.

  • Allow 24 hours to submit your request prior to the event date.
  • Cancellations must be received 24 hours prior to event date.
  • Contact the Manager of Media Support Services for afterhours and weekend functions.

Livestream

Livestream will allow users access to a live broadcast stream in real time over the internet. The broadcast will be streamed, recorded and archived in the Centre for Dialogue and later posted on our RRU Livestream Channel. A public link for viewer connectivity is provided during the live event or to access the archived file.

Submit a Request Form

  • Allow 5 working days to submit your request prior to the event date.
  • Allow 5 working days for any deliverables.
  • Cancellations must be received 48 hours prior to event date.
