Webcasting is the process of sharing and delivering video, audio and multimedia content over the internet using streaming media technology to allow groups of people to remotely view and attend meetings, seminars, and online events. We offer a variety of hardware and software-based video platforms and applications to help you interact and communicate easily, reducing the need for travel or movement from location to location.
Technical assistance and support services are provided for the following:
- Bluejeans Meeting: online conferencing bridge with multiple connectivity options for hardware / software
- Livestreaming: broadcast quality, real time, multimedia event to unlimited viewers
A Bluejeans meeting allows for face-to-face, audio and video interaction, communication and collaboration with online participants for long-distance meetings, interviews and seminars. You can use a variety of hardware and software-based video platforms including your desktop internet browser; Google Video Chat, Microsoft Lync; (HD) videoconference units; or IOS and Android apps for your tablet, IPad or phone. Each session can support up to 25 concurrent users and devices.
As a Bluejeans Moderator you provide online support during the session and can manage participant invite or removal, microphone mute, and screen share. After initial training we issue you an account and you can book your own meetings.

Live streaming is a one-way broadcast quality service that allows users a live, real time HD stream over the internet to unlimited viewers. The broadcast will be streamed, recorded and archived in the Centre for Dialogue and later posted on our RRU livestream channel. A public link for viewer connectivity is provided during the live event or to access the archived file. Please submit a video recording request form and book the space through the EMS system.
Submit a Request Form
A request form must be filled out and submitted for all webcasting services. It is essential that advanced scheduling and planning occur, particularly if tests calls are required or groups of people are involved for your event. Please ensure your learning space is booked through the EMS system.
- Allow 5 working days to submit your request prior to the meeting /event date.
- Allow 5 working days for any deliverables.
- Cancellations must be received 48 hours prior to meeting / event date.
