Student Engagement
The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) measures engagement using the following themes and their corresponding engagement indicators - the higher the score students award these different themes and indicators, the more engaged they are in their learning:

- Supportive environment
The Royal Roads University Learning and Teaching Model places a strong focus on student engagement, highlighting benefits such as increased learning confidence and independent thinking, heightened intellectual growth, deepened learning, and an increased value placed on learning. The information in the following pages will assist Faculty to create engaging learning environments for students in both on campus and online environments.
